In order for the Trinity University Police Department to maintain a safe and secure environment for the campus community, we need your help. See something. Say something →
Trinity University believes strongly in protecting the health, safety and welfare of its students, faculty and staff. To do so in emergencies requires preparation, so we invite you to visit these pages often and familiarize yourself with appropriate emergency procedures.
Trinity University uses several methods to communicate information in the event of an emergency. These include:
Mass Notification System - This is an outdoor notification system that uses a siren followed with a message to alert the campus community to take shelter in the event of an emergency. For more information, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page on this new system.
Via the web site - The university's web site will use alert banners to communicate official news, information and instructions in the event of an emergency/disaster and campus network outage.
Trinity University will, without delay, and taking into account the safety of the community, determine the content of the notification and initiate appropriate notification, unless issuing a notification will, in the professional judgment of responsible authorities, compromise efforts to assist a victim or contain, respond or otherwise mitigate the emergency.
Emergency Hotline - In the event of an emergency, call 888-57-ALERT for the current status of campus conditions.
TrinAlert - Click here to register to have emergency text announcements sent directly to your cell phone. Only warnings requiring immediate action will be sent via this system.
Emergency Telephone Alert - Messages may be broadcast directly to all student rooms and offices where there are University telephones. Messages will scroll as text and/or be broadcast over the telephone as intercom announcements.
Email messages - Official news, information and instructions will be distributed by email. Please check your Trinity e-mail on a regular basis. If you need to check email from the web, please check your Tmail
