Sophomore College is in the western side of lower campus, which surrounds the Bell Center and athletic fields and neighbors the upper-class area. Sophomore College residents can enjoy a TV/game room in Prassel and a computer study lounge in Thomas as well as the large atrium lounge in Prassel, smaller lounges on each floor of both buildings and a large sun deck on Prassel 3rd.
Murchison Hall enjoys proximity to upper campus, the Coates University Center and the outdoor swimming pool. The Murchison Lounge is a terrific alternative studying environment and computer lab and lies in the middle of this two-story building. Murchison is designed with public walkways (room doors open directly to the outside).

This Hall houses 278 students.
Bruce Thomas Hall, the tallest of the residence halls, has eight floors. Thomas has two elevators. It is located on the west side of campus and is attached to Lightner Hall. On each floor there are four "corner" rooms, which are designed to house three students. This hall houses 212 students.
