As we adapt to the realities of COVID-19, changes were made to this Fall semester. Details along with updates related to Residential Life are available on the COVID-19 Updates page. Visit this page for the official, up-to-date details.
The Residential Life Office offers a developmental program tailored to the needs of the residents. Our mission is to support students by providing a developmentally structured, challenging, and educationally stimulating residential experience which encourages individual growth in a well maintained and comfortable living environment.
New students are housed together in the First Year Area, with a supportive environment and program. In the award-winning Sophomore College, second year students live in vibrant communities where studying abroad, selecting majors, service, and social justice are emphasized. In the upper-division area, students enjoy a community-based environment where programs about career development and life after college are offered through the junior year residential curriculum.
At Trinity, the southern half of campus enjoys views of downtown San Antonio and features all of the residential and athletic facilities. It is known as "lower campus" because it sits in the basin of the old stone quarry.
The residence halls are designed to serve students as they manage academic, personal, social, and emotional issues and concerns. The on-campus living environment is a vibrant reflection of our bright, energetic, and kind students. All halls are coed by suite. The suite style features two double rooms which share an adjoining bathroom. For information about housing costs, please reference the Housing Prices Guideline.
Trinity University is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. While most student possessions are covered by family plans, National Student Services, Inc. offers a low premium/low deductible option that is often attractive to families (link includes audio).
All resident students are required to purchase a Trinity University meal plan. Meal plans have been developed to provide students with flexibility and convenience to fit their unique dining and academic lifestyle needs. TU Dining offers a wide variety of dining options to meet the nutritional needs and diverse tastes of Trinity students. Learn more about the available plans and sign up for a meal plan here: Meal Plan Options.
