Quantitative Reasoning and Skills Center

Welcome to the Quantitative Reasoning and Skills (QRS) Center! We are located in the Tiger Learning Commons (TLC) of the Library, alongside Academic Coaching, Student Accessibility Services, and the Writing Center.

Looking for help in a mathematics- or statistics-related course or project? See here for our Fall 2019 drop-in hours.

The mission of the QRS Center is to provide Trinity students with resources and support for quantitatively-demanding coursework and academic endeavors that involve quantitative reasoning.

We offer

  • peer tutoring for the quantitative aspects of coursework (e.g., chemistry, economics, mathematics, physics, statistics, etc.) to supplement departmental tutoring,
  • workshops throughout the year on a wide range of topics, and
  • one-on-one assistance with academic endeavors that involve mathematics or statistics (e.g., getting started in R, preparing for the GRE).

In addition to providing support for students, the QRS Center also works with faculty to foster quantitative reasoning across the disciplines.

If you have any questions about the QRS Center, feel free to email the Director, Luke Tunstall at stunstal [at], or drop by 308E of the TLC.
