Urinary Tract Infection, UTI

Symptoms may include 

  • Burning with urination 
  • Change in urine odor 
  • Change in urine color
  • Blood in urine 
  • Back pain 
  • Lower abdominal pain 
  • Frequent urination 
  • Chills, fever, nausea, seek care immediately

See a healthcare provider 

  • You need to be seen by a healthcare provider if you have a suspected UTI
  • UTIs are caused by bacteria and antibiotics are used to treat them


  • Hydration, drink plenty of water 
  • Empty bladder frequently 
  • Empty bladder after sexual activity 
  • Wipe from front to back after using bathroom 


  • Seek medical attention
  • Hydrate well - water, cranberry juice and avoid caffeine 
  • AZO is an over-the-counter medication that can help relieve symptoms until seen; Read and follow directions on package. (this does not treat the infection)
