Symptoms 

  • Sore Throat
  • Runny Nose 
  • Nasal Congestion
  • Mild Headache
  • Mild Body Aches
  • Cough 
  • Fatigue

Cause

  • Viruses - Antibiotics DO NOT HELP

Self-Care 

  • Rest 
  • Hydrate - drink lots of fluids 
  • Gargle with warm salt water every 3 hours (to relieve sore throat and remove drainage)
  • Over-the-counter medications that target your symptoms

Prevent the Spread

  • Cover nose/mouth for cough/sneeze
  • Frequent handwashing 
  • Dispose of tissues
  • Do not share utensils/food/drinks

See a health care provider/walk-in to Health Services if

  • If temperature is >101° F
  • If experiencing chest pain or shortness of breath
  • If symptoms persist more than 5 days or symptoms return after recovery
  • If you have questions or concerns
