Jamie Thompson joined Student Involvement in September of 2009. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Jamie earned a bachelor's degree in business administration (finance and management) from Trinity University. Jamie received her M.S. in higher education administration from the University of Kansas. She has been involved in the field of higher education for seven years in the areas of student activities & involvement, leadership development, and fraternity & sorority life at the University of California, Berkeley and University of Kansas. When she is not working, Jamie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, and doing outdoor activities.
Esther Kim joined Student Involvement in June of 2015. A native of Oregon, Esther earned a bachelor's degree from University of Oregon in International Studies and Nonprofit Management, and her M.S. in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. In her current role, Esther plans and executes New Student Orientation and Transfer Student Orientation, and oversees the Orientation Team (O-Team). In her spare time, Esther enjoys spending time with friends, CrossFit, traveling, hiking, shopping, and cooking.
Jeremy joined Student Involvement in July of 2015. A native of Kansas City, Jeremy is a proud 2007 graduate of Trinity University where he received a B.S. in Finance and Economics. During his time at Trinity, Jeremy was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Delta fraternity and served on the Residential Life staff. After graduating from Trinity, Jeremy attended law school and received his J.D. from the University of Missouri. Jeremy returned to Texas and practiced law as an international tax attorney for nearly three years before moving on to serve a two-year appointment with the New York City branch of Teach For America.
Katharine Martin joined Student Involvement in July of 2003. A native of Kentucky, Katharine earned a bachelor's degree in English from Wells College. She was a journalist for 15 years and a public school teacher for nine years before coming to Trinity to serve as the advisor to the student staffs of the Mirage yearbook and Trinitonian newspaper. Katharine enjoys emailing her kids, learning, biking, quilting, and traveling.
Amy Johnson joined Student Involvement July of 2005. She is a native of the Alamo City, yet has had the opportunity to move with her family and live in different locations in the United States and Germany. Amy attended high school in Davis, California, then California State University in Sacramento. She returned to her home state in 1995 where she worked for the corporate world for a period of time. She has experience working as executive and administrative assistants in the oil business, with investment brokers, a medical company and several dentists. Amy has been involved in the field of higher education administration for seven years. In her current role at Trinity, she is the Office Manager and supports the Director of Student Involvement, the Assistant Director, as well as five Coordinators. When Amy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, large family, and friends. She also enjoys fishing, movies, baking, paranormal programs, yard sales, playing with her two dogs and three cats, and graphoanalysis (hand writing analysis).
Jamie Ward joined Student Involvement in April of 2015. A native of San Antonio, Jamie earned a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She has experience working in the non-profit field and has worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Northwood Presbyterian Church as the Youth Director. She also has several years experience working in the Human Resources field and job placement organizations. In her current role, Jamie is responsible for the upkeep and oversight of the Coates University Center (CUC) building, manages reservations for CUC, and assists in maintaining the CUC and NSO budgets. When is she not working, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, hiking, crafting and reading.
