The LeeRoys Excellence Awards

The LeeRoys Excellence Awards is an annual awards program that highlights University-recognized student groups and advisers for their accomplishments on campus and in the community. The LeeRoys provides an opportunity to nominate student groups and/or advisers that have made great strides in creating change in the community and have exemplified the University values.

2020 LeeRoys Award Recipients

Enduring Excellence AwardThis award recognizes a student group who embodies the Trinity value of Enduring Excellence: holding the group to the highest standard, challenging and supporting its members, and thriving in a world of rapid change.

Eligibility: All active University-recognized student groups. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Intentional Inclusion Award: This award recognizes a student group who embodies the Trinity value of Intentional Inclusion: connecting across difference, acting with radical empathy, and nurturing enduring relationships.

Eligibility: All active University-recognized student groups. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Perpetual Discovery Award: This award recognizes a student group who embodies the Trinity value of Perpetual Discovery: inspiring lifelong curiosity, creating new knowledge, and thinking deeply and acting meaningfully.

Eligibility: All active University-recognized student groups. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Tiger Pride Award: This award recognizes a student group with outstanding #TigerPride and Trinity University spirit. Recipient student groups will embody the Trinity University values: Enduring Excellence, Perpetual Discovery, and Intentional Inclusion.

Eligibility: All active University-recognized student groups. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Tigers on the Rise: Emerging Student Group: This award recognizes an emerging student group that has demonstrated significant long-term potential for success in the Trinity community (factors to consider include increased membership, member development, organizational sustainability, and campus/community impact).

Eligibility: All active University-recognized student groups within 1-3 years of inception. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Adviser of the Year: This award recognizes a faculty/staff adviser who has developed a strong and impactful relationship with the organization/group members. Candidates have worked closely with the student group to encourage internal member development and overall organization success.

Eligibility: All active faculty or staff student organization adviser. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Fraternity & Sorority Life President of the YearThis award recognizes a Fraternity & Sorority Life President who delivered significant contributions to their organization and/or the FSL community in the past academic year.

Eligibility: All Fraternity & Sorority Life presidents from the 2019-2020 academic year. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Fraternity & Sorority Life Chapter of the Year: This award recognizes a Fraternity & Sorority Life organization that has gone above and beyond to continually convey a commitment to the four pillars of FSL: service, scholarship, camaraderie, and leadership.

Eligibility: All active Fraternity & Sorority Life organizations. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

University Sponsored Organization of the Year: This award recognizes a University Sponsored Organization (USO) that has demonstrated a high degree of overall success throughout the year (thriving membership, member development, organizational sustainability, and campus/community impact). The organization is dedicated to collaboration and mutually beneficial partnerships, innovative practices, inclusion, and the advancement of the Trinity University student body. Recipient organizations will embody the Trinity University values: Enduring Excellence, Perpetual Discovery, and Intentional Inclusion.

Eligibility: All active University Sponsored Organizations only. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.

Registered Student Organization of the YearThis award recognizes a Registered Student Organization (RSO) that has significantly impacted and/or contributed to the community (Trinity University/San Antonio/global) throughout the year. The organization will have contributed to the development, growth, and sustainability of its membership. The organization is dedicated to collaboration and mutually beneficial partnerships, innovative practices, inclusion, and the advancement of the Trinity University student body. Recipient organizations will embody the Trinity University values: Enduring Excellence, Perpetual Discovery, and Intentional Inclusion.

Eligibility: All active registered student organizations under Student Involvement. Representatives of the group may self-nominate.
