Family Weekend Welcome (Coates University Center)

Attend an Open Class (Various Locations)
Many faculty make their classes available for family attendance.  

12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Spotlight Luncheon (Coates University Center, Fiesta Room)
Hosted by Parent Council

2:30 p.m.
Food for the Faith Friday (Meditation Chapel in Parker Chapel)

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Trinity University Study Abroad Programs Presentation (Center for Science and Innovation, Lobby)

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Fall Family Weekend Open House (President’s residence at 150 Oakmont Court)
President & Mrs. Anderson will host an informal reception in their home near Parker Chapel. Light refreshments will be served.  

Saturday October 7, 2017
9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Coffee reception with the Staff (VP for Student Life’s residence at 146 Oakmont Court)
Visit with staff members and other parents to start the day.

11 a.m. - noon
University Address (Ruth Taylor Recital Hall)
Dr. Anderson, University President, will provide an update on the university, highlighting achievements and recent initiatives, followed by a short question and answer session.

12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Reception with the Faculty (Coates Library, Eco Grounds formerly Java City)
Parents, family members, and students meet and visit with FYE instructors.

1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Parent Educational Sessions (Coates University Center)
Talks on Greek Life, Sophomore College and Experiential Learning.

2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Three HOT Topics lectures by the faculty
Hear from one of the Trinity professors on a current topic of relevance.

4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
TU In the City Happy Hour
Join other parents and University executive staff for a casual get together at nearby Tycoon Flats.

Sunday October 8, 2017

8:15 a.m.
Running with the Dean (Meet at the Witt Center)
Join Dean David Tuttle on a morning run through the scenic neighborhoods surrounding campus.

10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Catholic Mass (Parker Chapel)


Parking and Hotel Information

Alamo Stadium Parking Lots: The entrance to one parking lot is located at the traffic light directly across from the sidewalk to Northrup. The entrance to the other lot is just south of the light. Both lots are available on Friday from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. On Friday, cars must be removed no later than 4:30 p.m. Both of these lots are closed to the university on weekends.

On Campus Parking: On Saturday and Sunday, the campus will be "open parking" for parents and family members. However, parking in fire lanes, loading docks and handicap areas (without permit) will not be permitted. Also, the 24-hour reserved parking signs on lower campus will be enforced.

Trinity has composed a list of hotels in the downtown and airport area of San Antonio, some at a discounted rate.
