Trinity's unique EAST program is a multifaceted program that prepares students for life in the Pacific century. Through a combination of language training, in-country experiences, internships, and formal exchange programs, EAST grooms future leaders in business, government, science, and education to be comfortable and confident in the global environment.
The EAST Program administers two faculty-led summer programs to China. The first is the Shanghai Program, which allows students to intern in a month long internship at a Chinese company. The second faculty-led program is Ecological Civilization in China which is allows environmental studies majors to conduct fieldwork in Zhuhai, China. Lastly, China in the City program funds 2-3 students every summer to participate in Lingnan University's pre-service teacher-training program in Hong Kong. This breadth and depth establishes Trinity as a leader among liberal arts colleges with East Asia programs.
