I joined Trinity University in 1984. I began working as a clerical typist in the Department of Computer Science in 1984. Two years later, I was promoted to the role of Secretary in what is now the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. From there I was promoted to Senior Secretary for the Tomas Rivera Center where I served for six years before my assignment to Distinguished Professor Arturo Madrid. After two years with Madrid, I became the Schedule Coordinator in the Registrar’s Office; I served from 1997 until 1999 when I moved into my current position as the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Human Communication and Theatre.

Community service & Involvement
I held the position of Chair for the M.E.N.T.O.R.S. Program which assists in the socialization of new classified staff; Chair to the University Club which assists in the socialization of faculty and staff. I am Currently the Interim Chair for the Helen Heare McKinley Employee Excellence Award and Rhea Fern Malsbury Memorial Award Committee.
