As Special Assistant to the Vice President, Dr. Jasinski reports directly to the VPAA and is responsible for a range of administrative and executive duties, special projects, and initiatives within academic affairs. At the direction of the VPAA, she provides logistical, organizational, and special project assistance. She collaborates with campus stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of the Trinity Tomorrow strategic plan and other priority initiatives.
As a scholar-practitioner of higher education, Dr. Jasinski identifies and implements promising and innovative practices within liberal arts colleges. She regularly presents on issues related to higher ed leadership and institutional change at national conferences including the American Association of Colleges and Universities, SXSWedu, the Association for the Study of Higher Education, and the American Educational Research Association. She partners with other colleges to lead professional development workshops, to facilitate brainstorming conversations, to evaluate campus programs, and to support the use of institutional data to support strategic decision-making.
Her dissertation research examined the experiences of senior academic leaders who returned to the faculty at four-year colleges and universities. She is currently working on a book project based on this research. She is the co-author of the forthcoming Faculty as global leaders: Opportunities and strategies to support off-campus study leaders at liberal arts college (Lever Press), a book that examines the role of faculty-led study abroad programs at small private colleges.
