Karl Pichler is the Prassel Professor for Professional Practice in Finance at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. He is responsible for overseeing the Student Managed Fund and for developing and delivering a practically relevant and academically rigorous curriculum for Trinity’s Finance degree. Previously, Mr. Pichler spent 12 years at Rackspace, Inc. During his tenure, the company grew from less than $100m in Revenues to over $2b, went public in 2008 and was sold to Apollo Global Asset Management in 2016. Mr. Pichler held multiple leadership roles within the company and was the company’s Chief Financial Officer from April 2011 to May 2017. He received a M.Sc. degree in Finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Bern, Switzerland and he is a CFA Charterholder.
