Alma Mater: Trinity University – Class of 2012 and 2013
Year I joined Trinity Admissions: 2017
Students I work with: Arizona, Florida, and Texas (El Paso, San Antonio, and South Texas)
Favorite college course: I really enjoyed that my time at Trinity was full of different academic opportunities. I wasn’t just a history major - I was able to enjoy classes outside my field of study. My favorite course would have to be Intro to Acting because it really forced me to get out of my comfort zone in a fun and light-hearted way, and that translated to better speaking and presentation skills in my other classes.
Favorite Trinity experience: First year move-in! Returning students, staff, and faculty all come together to help new, first year students move into the dorms. It’s really energizing to be around so many people who are excited to celebrate the beginning of your journey at Trinity University.
But The Chocolate Festival is a very close second because who doesn’t love chocolate!
One thing I love about San Antonio: I have had the opportunity to live out of state and even out of the country, and yet, San Antonio always calls me back. I love that San Antonio is constantly changing and still provides the comfort of home. It’s a growing city where there is always something exciting to do and new and interesting people to meet.
College search advice: Get on campus and talk to people—students and professors. It’s easier to imagine yourself going to a school if you can build off some real experiences. Evaluate what is really important to you and then consider the schools that will help you achieve all your goals.
