Collin Roark is the assistant director of debate and an assistant professor of human communication. He grew up in Houston TX and received his B.S. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. After debating for four years in High School, Collin pursued debate in college and continued to coach during his studies at the University of North Texas (while earning his M.S. in communication studies).
Collin teaches public speaking and argumentation. His teaching philosophy rests upon a strong belief in the value of discussion and dialogue in the classroom in order for students to cultivate critical thinking skills while incorporating their own perspectives.
