On Tuesday, April 21, three First Year HCAD students participated in the Trinity Entrepreneurship Center's Stumberg Prize Competition. This university-wide competition consisted of 14 student venture teams selected from a pool of applicants to make their business pitches before a panel of esteemed entrepreneurial judges. From this collection of 14 teams, 5 teams were selected by the judges to receive $5,000 towards their ventures, and in the fall these five teams will make a follow-up pitch to compete for the winner's prize of $25,000. We were thrilled to see Livia Rodriguez (pitching her business concept, Denify) as well as Thomas Davis and Justin Brewer (pitching their business concept, VHT Childlife4Kids) selected as 2 of the 5 finalist teams! The Department of Health Care Administration was well represented by their outstanding work. We are extremely proud of each of them and excited to see how their business ventures continue to develop!
